Just checking in
Hi everyone, sorry for not posting lately but, I'm kinda in a funk. Today it's 4 degrees and no sun, I haven't had much sun in a long time and it does affect some people, like me. This Coronavirus has me literally staying home trying to be safe. I'm told, at my age I am more apt to contract it faster than most.
I very seldom go to town or associate with anyone and I wear my mask when I'm out. It is driving me crazy hanging out here. I am thinking about taking a ride somewhere this weekend and take some pictures of whatever. Hopefully it will help me get over this funk.
To be truthful, I think I am bored with my life and think there should be something else in my life. I just haven't figured it out yet. I sometimes think I need a change of scenery.
Anyway, I just wanted to check in and let you know what's going on. I'm sure by Sunday night, I will have a post posted with some interesting pictures. Take care

Trip to ER.......UPDATE
Hi everyone, first, I want to thank all of you for your kind words and support. This was a long battle. Constipation is very hard and hurts especially, the constant abdominal pain. It lasted about 3 weeks. I went to the ER and the doctor didn't even spend 5 min. with me, he gave me 10 oz. of Colace and sent me home to use it. I used the whole thing and it did nothing for me.
One night, I was in so much pain I looked on YouTube to see what I can do for myself, I came across DR. OZ, he said drink a shot of apple cider vinegar and I did. It did work, just a little bit, the pain was still there. last Wednesday, I decided to call my acupuncturist Virgil and he told me to come in Thurs. and he would send me home a happy man. Boy, was I thrilled.
I went to my appointment with Virgil and sat me down in one of his private rooms, we talked a bit, he took my pulse and preceded to insert the needles. He left me alone for about 40 min. and I called him on the phone and told him, I needed to go bad. He escorted me to bathroom and it was action time. I felt so relieved, I thought I was born again, lol.
Before I left, he made up some Chinese Herbs to use after words and the rest is history. I am feeling so much better and healthier. For all the skeptics out there, acupuncture really works. again, thank you all.
Take care

Trip to ER
Hi folks, just wanted to let you know what is going on with me. I have been constipated and had severe abdominal pain for 2 1/2 weeks. Last Monday I called my doctor and told her what was going on. She told me to go to the ER and see what is going on. I did go and the doctor told me to take something that would help me out. He gave me 10 fl. oz. of Magnesium Citrate saline laxative. He instructed not to take it on the way home because, it works real fast. So, when I got home, I promptly took it and so far it has not worked. I called my doctor and she is setting up an appt. to go have a cat scan to see what is going on inside. I am feeling really miserable right now. I'm not sure if I will have anything to post for a while but, will keep you informed of the situation. Something has to be bad, I've lost my appetite, taste and somewhat lethargic. It's making me very miserable. I hope something good happens soon. Take care

Just a short post
Hi everyone, just doing a short post to show you the oil drip stove I got and installed. It's really nice and the best thing is, I don't have to get up a couple times a night to feed it wood and I can leave my cabin for way more that a day or two. But first, breakfast this morning.
Lunch Minestrone soupMy new oil drip stove.
At the moment, it is 10 degrees outside and 75 degrees inside. Will I miss the woodstove? Yeah but, I will have the woodstove at the remote cabin to enjoy. I should have a new longer post in a few days. Take care

Veteran's Day 11/11/2020
"Honor to the Soldier, and Sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country's cause. Honor also to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field, and serves, as he best can, the same cause —honor to him, only less than to him, who braves, for the common good, the storms of heaven and the storms of battle."—Abraham Lincoln
Please, remember to thank a Veteran and Active Duty Military when you see them and not just on military holidays. They will always feel good when you say "Thank you for your service"
Enjoy this holiday for it is the Veterans and Active Duty Military that has made it possible. Thanks.

There you have it, so much snow and it is 4:45 pm and it is still snowing heavy. I will wait until tomorrow hoping it stops before trying to clear the snow. I told one of my members, Passport, that I would include a picture from my kitchen table to my view outside but, I forgot and my pantry but, I moved most everything from my pantry to the shop and packed them away to take out to the remote cabin. I will do a picture in my next post of what's left. I hope everyone enjoys this post. Thanks for stopping by.

First snow
Hi folks, just wanted to do a small posting. Last Sunday I woke up about 5:30 am to hit the outhouse and there was our first snow on the ground, not much but, it is still the first snow.
This is what I woke up to this morning. Brrrr!
It's 12:05pm and I just had a bowl of Grilled chicken and sausage gumbo, perfect day for it.
I want to share a video that I am subscribed to on Youtube. Dave and his wife Brooke are a very interesting couple Please check these to out, I'm sure you will enjoy their videos.
Hopefully, you can just click on it and go right to their videos. If not you will have to copy and paste in the YouTube search engine, trust me, you will enjoy them.
Their videos bring back a lot of great times I've had in the past and every time I watch a video from them, it gets me to thinking about my life then and now. Too tell the truth I like the then life I had as opposed to my now life. So, I am doing some serious thinking now, was I better off then or now? I tend to look to the "THEN" and I think those of you who have been with me from the beginning know, I was a much different person because, then, I had purpose and life was a bit harder which I liked. I would like some serious feedback on what you think and what direction you think would make me happier. Remember, this is a test, I will make the decision which way my life will go. Hope you all enjoy this post. Take care
