New living room photos

 Hi folks, I took new photos of the living room because, the first ones didn't do it any justice.

The kitchen is the next project. It mainly needs moving stuff around and maybe some extra shelves.  Hope you enjoy.

 Well, the living room is pretty much done, just need a little more clean up.

So, what I did was put all new plywood on the walls and then, coated them with a polymer. I really like this much better than painted walls. I have a few more tweakings to do and I will put these pictures up when done. Now, if there is something you don't like let me know, not that I will change it, LOL. Anyway, more to come. By the way, I got my first covid shot, second one is in February. Take care and stay safe.

 Hi folks, just letting you know, Sunday I will have a new post showing the new remodel.  I am really happy how it turned out and I think you all will like it as well. Just letting you all know. Hope you can make it Sunday.

Something new is coming

 Hi everyone,  well, as you all know, I sometimes just get an idea about something and just go with it. This is one of those times. I'm not sure what brought it on but, it's just something I feel needs to be done. When I built my cabin I should not have painted the walls, I liked it at first but, as the years went by it became very boring and made the cabin not look like a cabin.

 So, I have decided to give this cabin a whole new look, a more rustic look both inside and out. I will start inside and as the weather changes I will work on the outside. Believe me when I say it will look very different.

 Here is what it looks like now.

I know it's a it messy but, it won't be long. So, I just wanted to touch base with everyone and let you know what is going on. We'll, that's it. Oh! By the way, I got my first Covid shot yesterday and will get my second shot on February 16. Take care.

Part of my day

The Sun finally came out and it warmed up some so, I decided to get out and take care of some chores. First thing is have breakfast.

                                   Time for a temperature check

                                        Time to burn trash. A friend says I look like I'm homeless trying to stay warm, lol.

            Cans, glass, batteries and so on go to the dump recyclables

   Finally shoveled my snowmachine out and took the cover and hung it up in my shower to dry.

                                            Time to split wood

                                   I still have a lot of snow left.

Here's my other snowmachine, LOL. I really have to make sure they are out and ready to go.

Cleaning my solar panels. I use a 30 ft. roof rake with an old towel so, I won't scratch the panels.

That's about it for now, I am going to get out more and do some stuff that is more fun. I am also learning Tai Chi, I am learning online but, I may take an actual course. I have been doing a few moves and it really relaxes me or gives me the feeling of relaxation. Well, that's it for now, Take care

2021 comes in with a bang

 Hi everyone, well 2021 has come in full force, lol. This isn't what I expected but, it is what it is. LOL

I've had this cold weather most of this week so,I am staying in. just made my coffee and am enjoying it.

                           Breakfast this morning

I told you all that I was changing over to an oil drip stove and I did.

But, it turns out I didn't like it, it smelled and it wasn't all that great in really cold weather so, I changed it out and replaced it with my trusty old wood stove.

I sure missed the warmth that wood gives and the pure enjoyment watching the flames dancing around as I sat watching it. I would turn the lights out, light a few candles and hot chocolate and I am all set.

I even did some work in my cabin to make it more cozy

I bought a futon and I tried sleeping on it but, it's not as comfortable as the floor, lol. In case you are wondering about the black thing on the back, it is a Black Bear rug.

Hopefully it will get a bit nicer where it will be more comfortable to get out and do something. Just a reminder, wishing you all a Happy and safe 2021.
