What's happening?

Hi folks, I know it's been awhile and I apologize for the delay. This is to let you know everything is fine. Wednesday,  I had a colonoscophy, (sp?), they found one polyp and removed it and discovered I have an Ulcer. They are doing a biopsy and will let me know what is going on.

The weather has gotten warmer. Middle 30's and today it's slightly raining. This is such a relief from the snow and minus 30's. I am finishing working on the inside of my cabin so, I have more room and looks nicer. I will do another blog in a day or two with photos and I think you will like it.

Someone asked if I was still moving to Upstate, N.Y. I have to say, it's up in the air right now. I will expand on it more at a later time. Thanks for sticking with me.

                     Take care

It's good to have an update, John. I need to get my colonoscopy this year. Not all that much fun but good preventative healthcare.

Hi Art, this is is my last one the doctor said. This was different this year, instead of having to drink that god awful stuff, thwy gave me pills to clean my system out. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi John. Always enjoy seeing a post from you. I'm one of those people who probably allow too many health concerns to slide by. Which is foolish on my part. I have what were initially called lipomas but are probably actually liposarcomas. Lol We shall see. I don't have the greatest faith in my doctors, and having a good team of doctors you can trust is a big thing. Take care, M.

Hi M, as we age, things do seem to go downhill medically. I have a great medical team who look after my needs. Although, at my age I still am in pretty good shape. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for the update. Hope the medical stuff results in good news.
And rising temps always good, in wintertime.

Hey Bigfoot, I always keep my fingers cross. I always say, if I wake up in the morning, I am ahead of the game. I'm liking these warm temps. It gets me outside.

Hey John
any wind damage your place>? How about at your remote place? Kids went out to cabin this weekend. Son said there is a 1/2 mile of trail through heavy timber that is going to require 3 of us with sharp chain saws to open back up. Here in town the yard and drive is heavily covered with small branches. going to take a lot of picking up come spring.
Glad your trip to the "rear Admiral" went Ok.. The wife and VA Dr talked me into doing that when I was 70. a few years later they tried to talk me into a second look, I said no thanks, I'm too old It won't make any difference at this age.
Stay warm

Old John

Hi John, I have a bunch of trees down but, no other damage. There are branches everywhere, it will be a hell of a cleanup this Spring. Not sure about my remote cabin, sadly I haven't been out yet hopefully soon though. Thanks for stopping by.

I went out to check my cabin... one tree down, just missed the shop, not many branches. The guy that plows for me said they have really never had wind like that before. Mostly those storms blow by or over. He has been there a while and he said it was a really bad storm. It blew almost 2 ft of snow off the roof of the cabin so my son gets to not shovel it this yr so far and with this melt now... he may get to miss it altogether... The storm at the cabin was nothing like here at the house. I am going to guess we were at that 120 to 130 mark somewhere during those 5 days we had wind ... Branches everywhere... One tree down here was neighbors on his lot. Most of mine have fallen in yrs past. House, sheds, and all still standing. Glad you are ok and with out major damage to your place. Cant wait to see how you finish the remodel of your cabin.
