Progress on the front yard

 Well, I finally making progress.

                     Before

                      After
I moved everything to the back.
It looks a lot better and neat. Now, I have to figure out what to do with the front. I do have some ideas.
Tonight's dinner was Chicken and veggies with a Chinese sauce.
I hope to have another post soon. I really need to get some exercise to makeup for the 4 weeks I took it easy after eye surgery.  Hope you enjoy.

         Take care

I keep most of my "yard art" hidden in the back of my 2 acres. Keeps my wife happier.

It certainly makes me happy plus, anyone who wants to take something that doesn't belong to them, can't tell if I am home or not.

Hiya John looks like your making progress for sure. It’s always nice to stand back and see what you’ve accomplished. Lol looks like you do have a lot of yard art to find a place to put. At least your staying busy and working up an appetite. Well don’t work too hard, take breaks from the heat. Take care… Bert From Bama

Hi Bert, I am making progress for sure. Been wanting to do this for a long time. I would like to take it easy but, I need to work on firewood for the Winter and it's pouring rain here now.

Looks great... love the new parking pad. Boy am I behind on reading here. Eye surgery, food poisoning... good to see you still kicking up a fuss... LOL No snow till my sheds are cleaned out and purged... Working on the house presently and I want to move my mower back into my shed. Need to fix it first then actually mow once this season. LOL Got some work ahead so the snow needs to hold off till I'm done. LOL Your sounding happy, and busy... Good to see you out working in the yard. You could always set up a garden or some flower boxes in that front open area... I bought some slab wood and built frames for my garden space then filled them with some nice top soil mixed with peat... Just a thought. Seth and I have been plugging along this summer.. we went to Kenai... got 4 of our alloted 35 fish... We need to drive out that way here some time soon and check on the cabin... we should stop by and say hi as well...

Hi Wash, thanks for stopping by. I have been busy and glad that I got the front cleaned up. Sounds like you have been busy yourself. Stop by when you guys get up this way.

Hi Billy, I think we will have an early Winter, this morning about 6:30 I woke up to 32F, first frost. Thanks for stopping by.

Hiya John :) maybe I should move to your neck of the woods to escape the 99 temps and awful humidity down south. I would welcome snow and 32 temp right now. Looking for Fall and changing colors and the beginning of winter. How’s the wood cutting going? Snow seems to make the land look clean and peaceful and make coffee taste better :) Take Care ….. Hi Bert, you're right about the coffee and the snow. Leaves are starting to change here a little. That's my next posting, wood cutting starts tomorrow, Today I go to town and pick up some things come home and re-install my woo stove. Thanks for stopping by.

Hey John
please keep that 32 degree wx up there at mi 80.. I got a lot of garden to harvest before it gets frosty. I'd like to see a couple days of sunshine now. Got a good supply of fish in the freezer. Hoping the younger Son can bring in a moose and share with us. We're down too our last couple pkgs of caribou burger. got a great raspberry crop but no one wants to pick raspberries in the rain. Keep your powder dry

Hey old man, lol. Where ya been? We has two mornings with the low 30's. This rain is a pain in the butt, can't get anything done. Sheesh, lots of fish sounds good. I have a friend of mine that I'm giving my proxy for moose. So, I'm hoping to have some moose meat this year. Take care of yourself.

Washkeeton said...

Low 30's. Geesh, you would think we lived in 2 different worlds... LOL. Im what 50 or so miles down the road. We have as of yet to get below mid 40's but that doesn't mean the surrounding mountains don't contain some of that termination dust stuff... Yes this rain is a PIA... I have a partial garden to harvest... what the slugs didn't eat, plus we need to get in wood, propane, heating fuel... you know the basics for winter... Food stuff just in case...

Hopefully will be out your way soon, need to winterize the cabin.
Wash.

I'm doing all the same stuff you're doing. Not sure if I will get everything done.

Hi John, yard looks great. Winter sets in fast there. I'm welcoming the cooler temps myself but I hope fall lasts long enough to get some needed outside maintenance done. Latest hassle is a leak somewhere around my chimney and unfortunately the first coat of flashing cement didn't do the trick, going to have to get back up there again. Never ends. lol Take care, M.

John in Alaska said...

Ho M, leaks around the chimney can be a real problem and a pain to fix, good luck in doing that. I am really enjoying the cooler tips but, I am having lots of rain which isn't helping getting ready for Winter. You're right, it never ends. Take care.

Hiya John hope the rain has stopped to allow you to get work done before winter sets in. Welcoming slightly cooler weather here mid 80’s lol that’s cool down south. Humidity isn’t bad that’s a plus. Hope all is well … Take Care Bert From Bama : )
