"SPOTS" found.....{sort of}

Hi everyone, I received a call a couple of hours ago from a guy who traps in the area where me and Spots had our encounter. While he was checking his traps, he came across Spots collar which had my phone number. He told me that,  where he found the collar there looked like there was a fight of some sort, some blood but, not a lot. He gave me his analysis of what may have happened there from the tracks he discovered. I am not going to go into it because, it is to emotional for me. I will give myself the appropriate time to take all this in but, I don't think I will get another dog. There has been way to many bad things happening and I just can't deal with them. I hope you understand. Thank you all for your support.

Hi John,

That are a very sad news. I am so sorry.

In the other hand, He was a hero and saved your life.

I am sad to hear that you are not going to get another dog, perhaps this week is too soon, but in the next weeks if you give the oportunity to other dog to be part of you life,he never is going to be like Spots, but you can be sure that he will be your buddy, your partner, your best friend,... and he will do every thing to help and protect you. Don't spend the winter alone.

Take care

A.D. from Spain-Europe (sorry about my english)

Thank you AD and your English is just fine. Spots is a hero and I find it would be hard to find another companion like him.I really appreciate the kind words.

John....
I am so sorry to hear about Spots but am most grateful that he came into your life and saved it! Some folks believe that we get the dog that we need and I think that may be the case for you and Spots.....He was there for you at a most critical time and your life is forever changed by his. Quite a legacy for a dog.....and your friend.

Sorry this sad event happened. Maybe in the future you'll consider another dog. Our thoughts are with you.

Thank you Chris but, I believe if he didn't come into my life he would be alive today. I know, that isn't the way I should feel but, I do. I thank you for your kind words.

Thank you bigfoot, maybe but, I don't think so.

Hey John
I'm Glad the trapper called you. Now there's no doubt about Spot. I understand how you feel about a replacement dog now. Went through the same thing when we lost Chewy. Just don't want to deal with the heart ache. Perhaps inn time you'll change your mind. Then maybe Not..

Take Care

Old John

Hi John, I don't know, maybe it's to soon to make any decisions. This hurt me a lot and it will take quite a while to get over it. You know, I kinda wished that trapper hadn't come across the collar, it might of been better emotionally. Thanks for being there.

So sad to hear about Spots. I hope you are doing better and trying to keep busy.
I hope the weather is getting nice for you. Are you planting any tomatoes or flowers this year?
Take care . KC

Hi KC, thanks for the kind words, No, I am not doing and garden yet and probably won't. I'm just not into it right now. Everything I planned to do is on hold or slow down. The weather has been nice but getting a lot of rain, which is good to prevent fires. I do have a post coming soon. Thanks again

That's very unfortunate. You both enjoy the outdoors and the wilderness of Alaska. Living there is full of joy and challenges. Take care. There are a lot of dogs that need a good home. Take some time but stay strong.

Hi Art, thanks, I'm not sure there will be another dog, I don't seem to do well in that part of my life. But, who knows

Thanks Northco, he was a great companion.

I miss my dog terribly but will get another. The good ones all leave too soon. Give it time and be strong.
