Is blogging worth it?

Hi everyone, is blogging worth it? In the beginning it was and it was a lot of fun and I had a lot of friends but, seems they have dwindled a lot. I do have a handful that have stayed with me through my good times and my bad times which were plenty. Recently, I started getting my second wind and a change in my lifestyle and made a blog about that change and I only got 5 people to read my blog and enjoy it.

Right now, I have been doing a lot of stuff but, I have not shared what I am doing because, I feel people are bored with my life and don't enjoy my blog. So, I am seriously thinking about ending it and starting a YouTube channel. So, I will do one more blog possibly two and then try Youtube. No! I am not feeling sorry for myself, I just wasn't myself because of medical issues and they are now resolving themselves and refreshing me.

So! in the next day or two, I will put out, possibly two more blogs and research YouTube and decide. I was looking back and at one time I had over 100 people signed up and they are still signed up but, at this time, I only get 5 or 6 people visiting my blogs.

I do appreciate those of you who have stuck with me and read and commented still. Well, that's all I have to say and I for one am glad to have gotten it off my chest. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Your blog posts are very interesting. I enjoy reading about your cabin projects, and yes, I am always a big jealous of your food. I look frequently for new posts. Keep it up and stay safe.

Thank you 518 and Art, please don't take this wrong. The whole idea of blogging I thought was to share and entertain people with your life and interact. If people don't reciprocate, it feels like I am talking to an empty room.

Hi John, personally i've always enjoyed your blog. It's a great glimpse into a place that i'll more than likely never get to see. If you choose to continue, i'll still keep reading and if you make some youtube vids, I hope you post a link here because i'll check those out as well. Hope you and the pup are doing well, take care. M.

Good morning, John. I, for one, check in almost every day for new blog posts! I don’t always post a comment, but I’m here! I love your beautiful state and your lifestyle and hope you keep posting. Lately, gardening and just being outside here on the farm has taken up more of my time. I’m older and it takes longer to do nothing!!. You take care and I’ll be waiting for your next post!

Blessings!

Thanks cotton, I appreciate you stopping by. I hope you see where I am coming from, if I don't see any one commenting, I get the feeling people are losing interest. Here is an example, I checked my review for today and there was 516 views and so far 7 comments. Not sure why. I am glad you checked in.

Hello John.....I for one, enjoy your blog but it is not about me - it is about what is right for you and only you can decide that!! I do also enjoy perusing Youtube but I do think that sharing (in whatever form - blog or video) has to be comfortable to you. To date, your blog has been a way to widen horizons for me........and that can happen on Youtube as well! I look forward to your choice and hope that you will still be able to share your "goin's on" (a term from my Grandmother!) with us all - hope all is well with you and your fuzzy partner. Thanks!!! Chris

Thanks, if it happens, it should be interesting.

Hi Chis, I appreciate your comment, it gives me something to think about for sure. If I do pursue YouTube, it will take a whole lot of thought. I am not comfortable being around a whole lot of people and it may make me nervous. I will just have to figure it out. "goin's on" is a term that we used in my past as well. Thanks again Chris.

John I appreciate your blogs, I have not written or read for a bit as working from home during these times has left me with little time with read my favorite blogs. I enjoy the view into your life in Alaska and would follow another blog or youtube please share the links here if you do. I am glad the resolved health issues have given you energy.Denise of Maine

Thanks Bigfoot, I appreciate your support but, like I said, it's still a big IF. Typing I can say a lot but, speaking to and in front of people is where I hit a snag.

Good morning Lynn or Denise, now I am confused, LOL. My health issues are still there, just feeling a bit better. I have to remind myself other people are having a bad time as well.

Hey John
I've always enjoyed reading your Blogs, and I enjoy reading the comments and "outsiders" reactions to your activities.

Hi John, I still stop by occasionally and really enjoy your blog. I am sorry I don't comment very often anymore, a lot going on at home and in the world. Whatever you decide please know I appreciate the time and work you put into the blog and that you are appreciated for letting us into your life in a part of the country only few would ever get the opportunity to visit. Take care, KC

Your comments, etc will go down in the summer time because people are outside and working and doing summer things... in the fall/winter your posts will pick up again due to the fact people are inside more. Just saying. I haven't been here much due to our changes my son and I told you about. I will read and comment more again as it cools off and gets closer to winter. :-) Talk later.
