Finally a companion

Yep, you heard right. After all this time searching for a companion to share my life and lifestyle, Bruce came into my life. He's very good looking, listens to me and is always attentive. HUH? What's that you ask? Is John going for guys now? The answer is yes, I've waited for a woman way to long. I met this guy today and we hit it off immediately.  His Name is Bruce and I am introducing him to all of you. I hope you support me in my decision and life change. Without further adieu,  this is Bruce.

I found him on Craigslist, I traveled about 55 miles one way. On the way home, we stopped at Miller's in Houston to get ice cream and then we stopped at Kashwitna Lake so he could exercise some and when we got home, I took him to The Barking Lot in my subdivision to get the works, shampoo, groomed and nails clipped. He's a new K-9. His breed is Karilian Bear dog. He's 6 years old. Well, I hope you are entertained with post, LOL. Take care 

It's hot as hell and I'm not taking it anymore, LOL

Hi everyone, you will not believe how hot it's been, every day in the 80's. I just can't get any work done. I go inside, close the curtains and it's still hot. I took this picture last night around 11:30 pm. Can you believe it? The top is the outside temperature and the bottom is inside. YIKES!

I took this one a little while ago

I just now looked at my thermometer and it says 88 outside and 91 inside. Normally, I would go nuts but, I found a way to keep cooler in my favorite chair. Check it out.

I bought this small table top air conditioner at Walmart for $39.95 and it works great. It cools the spot where I am sitting. All you do is plug it in a socket or use a USB cord plugged in the computer or wherever. All you do is add water on the side area.

Then you press the round button to turn it on

The button on the left works the fan and the button on the right is for the heater, should you need it.

Then, I cooked some pork medallions with Tuscan seasoning

Add a nice salad and you got a great meal, Mmmm! Mmmm!

Another problem having this heatwave is, I'm inside with my computer and having Amazon and Ebay at my fingertips, well, you know the rest. I bought a new Video camera from Amazon for $149.95. It's very kool.

That's a microphone on top so you can step farther back and have a clear voice.

 I've always wanted a video camera and thanks to the heat outside, I now have one, LOL.

I went to the store this morning and as I approached my subdivision on the way back, Mount Denali was out in all her glory.

A beautiful day

It's Friday, 5:05 pm and the sun is shining bright. It got to 81 today, "Whew" way to hot. Started out this morning with coffee.

                                       Breakfast

FYI: Today is Solstice and the longest day of the year, 23 hrs. 36 seconds. So now, we will begin to lose daylight.

Today started out just fine, I had a truck load of pitrun delivered.

You are probably wondering what I am up to now.I decided that it was time to add an addition on the back of my cabin so, I ordered the gravel to make the ground even.

I started to fill in the back but, it was way to hot and I was miserably sweating so, I stopped came inside and started watching Youtube. It has become my favorite past time. Building cabins, Winter, Summer and Fall camping. Anything that involves the outdoors and off grid. To give you an idea about what I will do. Check out this picture.

That is the back wall of my cabin, picture a door opening splitting the new room add on. On the right will be the kitchen and on the left will be a bedroom, leaving the whole front room open for more room and less crowded.

I also bought a used refrigerator that runs on propane and electric. The reason is, so I can get away for 1-3 days and not worry about food spoiling. It's 12 cu.ft. and even has an ice maker, which I can't use. I got it for $500.

I took some photos of the back of my property and it has become very green. In the back, I plan to build a small "man shed" from free pallets. I've always wanted to do it so, I figured it is time. I will do this after the cabin addition.

As you see, I got to use my new washer and it is great, saves me time and money.

My property is becoming really green.

As far back as those tall trees is where I will build my pallet cabin. I will put in a small walking path.

Dinner tonight salad with tomatoes and imitation crab meat with a light Balsamic Vinegar.

Well, that's it for now, I have a friend who coming over to help me with the addition. Not sure what day he is coming but, Whatever day he doesn't come, I will be taking a road trip North. Take care

Deep in thought

Hi everyone, it's 8:55 pm and I am sitting here having a cup of coffee, the curtains closed because, the sun is bright and shining in my windows. I have my new air conditioner going that I bought at Walmart. It works great.
I will show a picture in my next post.

I am thinking about Winter already and how much I miss it. The fire at night, the stars out shining bright or a snowfall coming down slowly. Yes, I really do miss it. I miss going out at night and splitting wood and bringing it in on the sled, I miss the nights having the oil lamps glowing. Making a trip to the outhouse in the middle of the night.

I actually even miss shoveling the snow. I miss the real cooking I used to do and I miss doing my posts regularly. I noticed a big drop in people reading my posts, mainly because, I kinda got lazy and was in a deep depression because, of a lot of things going on in my personal life.

I am in the process of changing all that and am getting ready to change back to my old self. My BushratJohn self. I was not conceived to live like a "normal?" person. I am supposed to be different from everyone. So, you will see big changes coming in the very near future.

I often wonder if there are other people who don't like Summer like me. I have to admit, I'm getting a bit emotional writing this, LOL. I still haven't found my BushratWoman yet, LOL. I've decided, if it happens, it happens or if it don't, it don't.

Starting tomorrow, things are changing and I will keep you up to date for sure. Well, that's all I can think of at the moment.......Take care
