Reason for no posts

Hi everyone, sorry for no posts lately but, it's for 2 reasons. One, Freddy still doesn't like going in the car or truck and fights me every time I try to put him in. Two, I am recovering from a minor rib fracture and my doctor told me to take it easy for 2-3 weeks. It hurts but, seems to be healing nicely.  I haven't been able to get out to take photos and nothing really new here. I do have a picture of Freddy watching πŸ‘€ the Iditarod sled dog race on πŸ“Ί.

It was so funny watching him. He actually watched it for quite awhile especially when the dogs πŸ• were at the starting line and barking. He and I are getting along good. One thing for sure, he has a hell of an appetite. Sunday, I made pancakes, sausage and eggs πŸ₯šfor both of us and he Wolfed it down in no time. The weather has been great, bright sunny days and about 40 degrees and the ❄ is melting.  Take it easy.

Smart dog!
If you can get him to run the snow blower, then you'd be famous.!!

I tried to cheat mother Nature by starting my garden 3 weeks ago. A light freeze the other morning wiped out half my tomato plants and a few zucchini...even though I had cobbled up a plastic sheeting cover ahead of time. Supposed to hit 88 for highs next week. Almost time for my 2nd yard mowing!
Keep us posted on your springtime activities-!!

I hate breaking a rib. Those breaks are indeed painful. We had a 120lb Alaskan Malamute that definitely would have preferred walking to riding in a car. It was definitely difficult to load her in the car.

May you mend quickly!

Thanks Jim, Freddy won't ride in the car unless I force him in. I would like to take him places. I'm healing pretty good.

Evening John. Those core torso rib injuries are a bear to deal with, my sympathies, take it easy. My old Siberian Husky was scared of the car too...until I started tossing treats inside and he associated a car ride with a reward. lol. Btw, some of us will never forget the service of Vietnam Vets. My uncle was a door gunner on a helicopter, he succumbed to complications of agent orange exposure years after he got back. Basically, a gut full of tumors, surprisingly the VA ok'd benefits to his wife. Anyway, your service isn't forgotten. Take care, M.

Hi M, thanks to your dad's service, door gunners were very important back in the day, my condolences. Yeah, the pain is crazy πŸ€ͺ but, It will heal. I will try your suggestion with the treats. Happy 🐣 to you and πŸ‘ͺ.

Get well John, that sounds a little painful.
Cute dog, good taste in tv shows too!

Hi Evano, thanks much. Yeah, Freddy is a good πŸ• but, he needs to learn to ride in vehicles. It is painful especially when I'm trying to πŸ’€.

Hey John

my old Alsation also enjoyed watching the Iditarod Start. She'd get worked up and howl as if she was going to be in the race. or maybe she was telling the other dogs to cool it??
How's the ribs doing.. Better I hope.. I know how much fun they can be..

Stay Warm

Hi John, it's funny how πŸ• react when they hear dogs barking. Freddy looked up at the screen and couldn't take his eyes off the race. The are healing fine so far. Still taking it easy. This Winter is still holding on, eh? Wish it would warm up and get this ❄ outta here. Take care.
