I have been doing a lot of downsizing for now, I don't feel so crowded although, I still have more to do.

My birthday, my present and changes
Hello everyone, on Oct. 15 I turned 72 and I feel pretty good about it. I decided to buy myself a birthday present. 2008 Ford escape Hybrid.
I now have more room and not so much clutter
While I was out back, I looked up to see a woodpecker and spotted this abandoned bees nest. Pretty cool, eh?
It's been constantly raining here kinda makes it miserable. Hopefully it will turn to snow soon. So, that is pretty much that is going on at the moment. Will keep you up to date on the addition. Take care

Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you! As a much younger person, I figured that the celebration that comes with birthdays might be diminished as I got older. 'Gotta say that is not the case! I figure it is worth a cake with some candles on it to celebrate another year on this Earth! It is also important on each of my birthdays to do something totally for me -- kinda sounds like you are of the same mindset. Here's to many many more birthdays and certainly lots of your favorite cake! (Just don't burn down the joint with all the candles. :-)

LOL, thank you, I do feel the same way as you do. I never think I am getting older but, I am getting a new birthday and thankful I am still alive to celebrate another one. Take care.

Hi bigfoot, Happy Birthday. I'm keeping the big Ford and selling the little Ranger. I like the big 150, need it to pull my trailer. The addition will give me a lot more room.

Hi John, Happy Birthday! I say I am not getting older I am getting better. Love your new car! Your cabin looks great! You have more space and with the new addition you will have lots of a room. Boy look at the size of that bees nest, I would've running for my life if I would have seen that. Yikes!!

Hi Carol, thanks. It's a nice car and very comfortable. The build is coming along fine, it will make a big difference. The hive must be pretty old, I don't remember seeing a lot of bees.

That's a wasp nest, not a bee's nest.
got one just like it hanging on a birch tree on my way out of the subdivision., We had winds gusting t0 40/45 the other day and I was curious if it had blown down, but when I drove by it was still there.. Possibly some minor damage..

Hi John. Congratulations on the Birthday! Hope you had a good one and have many more.Nice looking new truck. Haven't had a hybrid yet myself, but better gas mileage is always a nice thing.I learned the hard way to be very respectful of those big hanging wasps nests. Accidentally disturbed one while trimming bushes a few years back. Before I could get into the house and rinse them off in the shower,(they were chasing me) must've been bitten over a dozen times. Didn't get much sleep that night. lol Once winter set in and there were steady temps in the teens, I cut it down and burned it in a barrel with some gasoline to help it along.lol Not something I want in my yard.
