" HAPPY THANKSGIVING" 2013

Good morning everyone, wishing you all a very "HAPPY THANKSGIVING" This is Thanksgiving eve and I decided to make a trip to the library to give my eyes a rest and use a bigger screen { laptop}. It's a beautiful morning, woke up to +30

There was new fallen snow everywhere from last night.

The road to my town cabin.

My new addition....Nissan Sentra

This is why, Winter is my favorite time of the year, everything looks clean and I believe I have more fun, can't wait to get out to my remote cabin. As I said before, my friend told me probably another 2 to 3 weeks.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and remember, if you can help someone or a family who are down and out, give them a hand up. You will feel good knowing that someone is enjoying at least one good day in their life. My gift this year was giving a turkey and all the fixings to 3 families who would have gone without.

Happy Thanksgiving John! Your generous contribution to those 3 families will live on LOOOONG past today! Great to see that winter is finally settled in pretty good for you. We got a pretty good dose here in central PA - my chickens are NOT happy. Well, Happy Thanksgiving and be safe! -Dave from PA

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, John. Love your pictures of the snow and buildings. The color of your cabin and out-cabin really are pretty with all the pristine snow.

The gifts you gave those families is wonderful, John. I know they will be forever appreciative!

Hope the cold weather sets in and stays so you can get to your other cabin. Also hope your cell phone works out there!!!

Blessings!

Hey cotton, wishing you and your family the same. These families live close by and just fell on hard times. I am very happy knowing the weather will turn cold again.

Hi bert, thanks so much. It's getting colder again so, it should start freezing again. I hope my phone works also. The steak tasted real good. Take care, Happy Thanksgiving.

The best to you and your thoughtful gift on Thanksgiving. It reminded me of a Christmas when we gathered up our Christmas Eve dinner and walked it to a neighbor who was in the middle of a great family loss. Helping is the best gift one can give.

Wow, I have been busy... Belated Happy Thanksgiving. Hope this weather is helping...I'm enjoying the lack of wind here. I don't mind the cold, just the wind.

Hiya John hope things are well with you.The program I told you about is called Buying Alaska..The stations is called Destination America...Some of the names I remember are remote areas out of Anchorage, Homer,Wassilla, and Juneau. There are others but would have to look it up again. Most people want just what you are doing, out of town away from hussle and bussle. Each progam has a real estate agent taking the families to 3 different areas. Some have to get there by boat, plane,or however the time of year lets them travel. Most all the areas are breath taking views..water ,mountains with snow. And of course there are times when its thru the mud"which I learned people in Alaska call this break up when the snow melts.Im learing lol...I still would need ah bun warmer for outhouse lol ..and if I ever saw a bear me with outhouse in tow would definatly be leaving a trail that would take months for anyone to find me :) Is the snow still falling?Gosh could use some here it went from highs of 38 for couple of weeks to now its been 77 for few days.Alabama can have tornados even on Christmas day.Hope you've been good so Santa will make a stop and don't forget the milk and cookies lol...well you take care and will catch cha later..your friend Bert from Bama

Thanks Bert, I don't know that show. I really don't know many of these reality shows. I just work on my life. Right now we are getting no snow. The temp this morning was +34 and it got to +40 and freezing rain. Take care
