Back again
Thanks to all for the kind words of support. It seems that when you get older, you start losing more friends because of age and sickness. It seems to be hardest when they are close friends or family. Losing my last two friends has started making me wonder about my old Vietnam buddies. I have lost track of them and now I wonder how many of them are still around. When I was living in or near villages in the BUSH, it seems the average loss was 2 or 3 a year for different reasons and I had almost became immune to their deaths. I really don't want to get to that point of not caring. Anyway, I am working on getting back to my normal routine and getting things done. Thanks again.

Glad to see you back, John. I'm sure it is winter where you live by now. I've seen the snow pictures in Denali Park and a few blogs I read from up there. I had a killing freeze each morning this weekend, no no moisture of any kind and now this week we will have Indian Summer in the 70's. I'm loving the cooler/cold weather after this last summer.
Take care...yes, it is good to keep up with old friends even when it sometimes brings sadness.
Blessings to you.
Hey John
Light Snow down here this AM, so you probably got a little more up there.
did you ever look at the website Together We Served (TWS) There is a section for each branch of the Service. Lots of old timers I know use it to keep in touch. My Old outfit Has a bulletin board on Yahoo. Nice to keep in touch with old shipmates, but really a sad shocker when someone posts an obit.
Stay Warm
John
Hi John! This is Mike and Nancy. Long time since we have heard from you! Call me at 733-1559. Have some questions for you. Looking for some one to watch the cabin for a couple of weeks also. Are you out in the bush or in town?
