On the way back, I decided to go on the back trail and headed that way. I have to go to the village airstrip and cross it to get to the trail. Here is the strip
Anyway, when I approached the trail, I saw that it was way to muddy to travel on and decided to go back on the beach. The beach is so soft, I decided to travel on the ice along the beach.
As you can see, most of the snow melted along the beach.
Now the fun part comes. Time to cross the creek. It has finally opened some.
OK, here we go hang on.
These pictures give you and idea how hard it is to drive on the beach.
When I got back to the cabin, it was just to nice a day to not do anything. So, I took a trip on the back trail.
There is a lot of mud, water and snow on the trail.
This is the part of the creek that runs between me and the village. To the left is the airfield. This is where my batteries gave out and didn't have anymore.
So, it was time to head back to the cabin and get some batteries. It was still to nice to not stay outside. So, I took a ride around the point to the North. Here I ran into some friends having a cookout on the beach.
Here they are making coffee and tea and cooking some hotdogs, burgers and some fish. Then I ran into an Elder from the village fishing.
As we were talking, I noticed a shadow moving across the ice and I looked up.
Well, that pretty much sums up my day, tomorrow is another day. Good Night

Wow awesome pictures
The snow is really melting, isn't it?
Hi Carol, yes, it is melting real fast. I can't wait for the lake to break up so, I can put the boat in the water.
