HAPPY 2015

              HAPPY NEW YEAR
                        2015

Hi Everyone, hoping the New Year is a great one for all of you. I decided not to make any resolutions or promises and take it a day at a time. I have many ideas as to what I want in the new year but, I don't want to jinx them, LOL. I did get some snow and it made my surroundings look very nice and Wintery.

You can see the snow falling

The snowmachine I got. I did get it running and rode it a few times. There are a couple more things I have to do before any long distance traveling.

Of course, with snow comes chores 8-}

My favorite chore of course, LOL

I did have a hearty breakfast before attacking the snow

Dinner that night was appropriate

Hot Dog soup using Turkey hot dogs, onions, green beans, corn, diced tomatoes, oregano and Italian seasoning.

It sure hit the spot, Mmmmm!

unfortunately, it started raining last night and lasted through today New Years eve. Here is what's left of the snow.

So, I woke up this morning to 40 degrees and light rain

Even though it was raining, I just couldn't sit around, I decided to go out and stack my firewood.

I put about 4 hours between shoveling and stacking, still have some left to finish

Dinner tonight Pork chop and baked potato

Well, that's pretty much it for New Years Eve. I am staying home where it's safe. Please, if you are going out, be safe, don't drink and drive and have an enjoyable evening.

                     TAKE CARE

Finally, I got it done

Hi everyone, a lot has happened since my last post. Took some outdoor photos you may enjoy.

These were taken around 10am

Seems my birds didn't like the new feeder I bought so, I did another homemade one.

Seems my little guys weren't the only ones who like the feeder. This Grey Jay also known as a Camp Robber [and lives up to that name] likes it as well.

These next 2 were taken about 9:30pm

The next 3 were taken between 7 and 8:30 am

What a difference, eh? LOL

Waiting for breakfast

Here I am having breakfast that morning

Yep, powdered eggs, Mmmm!

This was dinner that night, rice, fresh vegetables, onion and moose meat, that was yummy also.

HUH? What did I finally get done? I wanted to test the rack I made to carry plywood and lumber on my car.

I actually carried 4 sheets but, had to make two trips, need longer bolts I guess. Again with the questions. What was the plywood for? OK, I finally got the inside of the cabin the way I want it. The plywood was for the living room area floor. I took up the carpet and layed new flooring, Then I changed the kitchen area from this.

To this

How it looks at night with oil lamps, cozy huh!

The wall light runs on 3 AA batteries and is pretty bright. Push for on and push again for off. Lasts a long time.

Why this remodel again? So, I could accommodate, this.

I figured it was time to get a bed and I saw this on Craigslist for $50 and decided 2 beds are better than one, just in case.

I promise, no more changes, maybe, LOL. Yes, that's my shower hanging there and have to move it. I really like it this way, feels more like a cabin and it's comfortable. All that is left, is the ceiling. I hope all of you enjoy this post. Soon, I will post about supplying a remote cabin. Take care

This is funny, enjoy

WOW! What a week

Since my last post, not a whole lot was going on, it was quiet and not much snow.

A neighbor lady heard I had spent Thanksgiving alone and on Friday brought me a Thanksgiving dinner.

It tasted pretty good and I still haven't gotton to my steaks. LOL

One night, I was checking my 6 stations on TV and on PBS my favorite program appeared. Celtic Woman.

I could listen to these gals for hours. I know what you're thinking. Where's the remodel job? LOL, it's next. That full size propane stove I got for $25, just seemed to big for the cabin and I sold it for $125. I replaced it with a 2 burner Coleman propane camp stove and it works very well. I plan on buying a Coleman camp oven to use for baking and whatever. I can also bake stuff in the woodstove as well.

I really believe this setup will be more efficient and takes up less room. Ok, then, BAM! Got hit with our first substantial snowfall, I was so happy. It was beautiful coming down, big flakes and lots of it.

  This was the first night.

The next morning

Yep, it's shoveling time and with the extended yard, it took me a lot longer to shovel.

Figured I may as well do some wood splitting.

Got a stubborn one

Couple of rounds gave me a hard time but, I won

All done, enough work

This morning

Tonight's dinner, moose burger and fresh vegetables

Well, that's pretty much for now. I can see more work coming soon. Take care
