Surprise, Surprise

Winter is still here. I woke this morning about 6:30 am and it was still dark so, made my coffee and sat quietly as the morning got lighter and to my surprise, it snowed again during the night. I was about to make breakfast and a movement caught my eye. I had a visitor.

She took off and I made breakfast, my favorite of course.
After that fantastic breakfast  (I could almost have another one), lol. I decided to take all of you on my trip around the property to assess my work load.

My other snowmachine, I will have to do some shoveling there.
I may have to get a bigger car so I can find it easier, lol.

I enjoyed you pictures. Winter has certainly settled in at your house. Don't envy your shoveling duties.

Hi Carol, thanks. I have a confession, I bought a $40 snowblower and it helped a lot.

Hi John, Look at the size of that moose! It must be hard for them with all the snow this winter there? Yes you got lots of snow this winter and winter is not over yet. Thanks for sharing your day with us.
Take care,
Carol

You are welcome Carol. The moose do get big. Deep snow can be hazardous to the moose, it slows them down and easy for the wolves to have them for dinner.

Hi John.....Great pictures!! That amount of snow is considerable. Do you have to remove some of the snow from the rooftops? Glad you have the snowblower to help.

Thanks, at this point, the roof is safe but, I will clear the roof off. The snowblower is a big help.

Hey John
$40 for a snow thrower.. you didn't buy it, you stole it..! My Son called me last night, his Honda snow thrower froze up. he'd like to find one for $40 right now... We've had this Sears (Briggs & Stratton) snow thrower for 20 yrs this month..
Judging by how deep the snow is on that old cow in your yard, the snow out at my cabin (and yours) is about the same you don't want to step off the packed trail without snow shoes.. or you'll be up to your belt buckle in powder.
That's quite a load of snow on your green house... Did you get some freezing rain mixed in with your recent snows ?
school was shut down 2 days due to freezing rains down here.. side roads are aa miserable mess..

Hey John, Craigslist is where I found my snowblower, you have to check multiples every day for a good find. I remember a few times stepping off the trail and being knee deep with snowshoes. It's no easy task to get out with them on at times. We did have some rain mixed in. Our schools stayed open. I see we are going back to cold weather.

Hi John, that snow is so pretty. Glad to know you found a snow blower, what a deal.
I have had great luck with craigslist. I hope you don't overdue it, and are careful outside, have cell phone with you. (lol bet you just love getting advice from a gal that wouldn't last 2 seconds in the wild.)

Hi Dee, the snow is beautiful, I really do enjoy it, even when I complain sometimes, lol. I am a Craigslist junkie. I'm usually pretty careful when I'm outside, especially at the remote cabin. Never doubt yourself, you would be surprised at what you can do, even in the wilderness. Take care
