Cabin trip 2

Hi everyone, I went out to the cabin today to hook up my remote phone system. Went for a couple of hours and came back. Sorry, forgot my camera. Anyway, I am going back out either Monday or Tuesday. The good news is, I forgot to write in my last blog, my cellphone actually works really well out there so, I will be able to blog while there and keep you informed on what's going on. I am so looking forward to spending this time out there before breakup. Today, it was beautiful out there. It was sunny, 59 degrees and I could see Denali in it's grand form. I will enjoy waking up every morning and seeing the mountain as I enjoy my coffee. Anyway, just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Take care

How much time do you spend at your bush cabin vs your other home? Do you plan on making the bush cabin a permanent place to live? I'm looking forward to more photos!

I don't spend as much time as I like but, plan on spending more time there. I am planning on living there full time as soon as I build the addition. I will spend most of the Summer getting it ready.

Hi John, So glad your phone will work at the cabin. Looking forward to see how things are going there. Waking up to see mountains, wow, how beautiful that would be with the morning coffee!

Are you snow machining out there or flying each time? How is the snow out your way? You sound in good spirits.

Hi Wash, I'm flying out, I get more time that way. The snow is really deep, I have snow up to my knees in places and deeper in other places. I'm feeling great.

Hi John,

I'm glad to hear you are getting out there more. I'm looking forward to reading more about your everyday life when you are there. Get pics of Denali if you can! We were lucky to get pics of her with our family when we visited a few years back.

Hi Carol, thanks. I will be showing everything I can, including Denali. That mountain has a mind of her own although, she has been out quite a lot this Winter.

More photos of the cabin please! I'm trying to finish a book (writing) and I need a place like that!

I'll try, waiting for the weather to cooperate.

I was just out this past weekend here in North Pole. With the warm temperatures, the snow is melting quickly. Right now it's at its worse... slushy but still deep. There's a lot of "Post Holing" going on right now, and you know how hard it is to walk in snow like that. I am so anxious for green up and new leaves and color. Not so much the mosquitoes though. I hope you are able to get everything done you hope to this summer. Take care!

Hi Susan, everything you have mentioned is happening here. It's 6:30 am Tuesday morning and pouring rain. I hope it ends soon. I hope to at least getting half the things done.
