The photos I promised

Fixed the photo problem, just not sure what I did, LOL. Made these cinnamon rolls last night. They don't look normal but, they are good.

This is what it was like before and during my sick time.

This is my road out front.

These 2 trees leaning over my camper.

This is the leaning tree between my cabin and camper. It snapped off and landed between my car and my camper. That was just pure luck.

This is what is left of that tree.

Before I got sick, I started removing the ice buildup on one side of the cabin.

After I got sick the temps warmed up to 40 degrees and the ice on the other side slid off.

This a chunk that slid off and landed on the deck.

After Wash and her son came by to help and got me eating, I started eating a lot better.
My breakfasts now.

And dinners, Chicken Noodle Soup and Toasted Ham and Cheese. Mmmmm! Good

I did have some other visitors, someone gave me this cheese round that I really couldn't eat. so I invited the birds to dinner.

I bought this log futon for my cabin. It is solid log and heavy. It is nice and only paid $40 for it.

Unfortunately, it takes up a lot of space as it is and more so when opened. This is how the cabin looks now after moving things to accommodate the futon.

This is what the loaders with the brushhogs did to my trees. Many of them were young and didn't pose a threat.

This is a young Birch that was growing nicely and wasn't leaning at all and they put gouges in it and I'm not sure if it will survive or not. It makes me so mad.

As you can see, these are just young trees that threatened nobody or anything.

As you can see, there is no snow on the trees and they are standing straight up. All the Borough had to do was knock the snow off and they would have been good.

Well folks, I promised you pictures and here they are. I hope you enjoy them. I got to thinking, it is amazing how someone can take a small space and cram things in it that you never thought you could. As someone who use to carry everything I owned in a backpack, I suppose it is second nature. I do believe at some point in the future, I will have to put an addition of some sort on the town cabin or reduce some of the material things I have acquired. Something to think about. Take care.

Man you can make all that food look like a gourmet meal. Anyway, I'm working toward your end of not having a lot. Man some times after accumulating stuff it is hard to get rid of it, and some times it takes forever to find it all a good home some where else. As far as your cabin, even with the futon it really doesn't look or feel cluttered at all. Love your pictures as always.

Hi wash, when I'm not sick, I do like to eat. I am going to make this cabin look more like a cabin. I just can't stand clutter.

Thanks wash, I enjoyed that video. I want to see it on my laptop. Reminds me of when I lived in a wall tent for a year and a half in Anchor Point in the 80's. Yep, done it all, lol

I think your cabin looks great. I don't have very much more room in my livingroom in this double wide. Sorry about your trees!

Hi Becky, nice to hear from you. I really need to reduce more stuff.

Those cinnamon rolls look yummy, shape doesn't matter..taste does! :)

Your cabin looks cozy to me, but I do know what you mean by having too much. I am really trying to down-size myself. Not easy!

Your snow/winter pictures are really pretty. Am glad that tree didn't fall to either side..nice of it to fall straight down! Too bad about all your other trees, so unnecessary!

Take care...blessings!

Hi cotton, they did taste good with a hot cup of tea and coffee. I am on a downsizing mission.

John
You were sure lucky with that tree.. any more wind damage the last day or two? Winds were recorded up to 73MPH down here. Haven't found any damage, but sure got a lot of Junk in my yard. Hey, Nice looking futon. Later

Hi John, not much wind here. Everything is good. A bit chilly though.

Ya we have had some 70 and 80 mph winds here too...I tie stuff down most of the time so it won't blow away in the winter. Be thankful if you all don't get the winds.

Hi Wash, I'm kind of lucky, where my cabin is located, the winds pass right over me.

Hiya John glad to hear your on the mend and that you are taking better care of yourself. The meals look good and nutrious. The Cinnamon rolls look delicious and good for dunking. It seems as we get a lil older(or should I say lil wiser lol)that our minds are lots younger than our bodies.I have the youngest mind but its killing my body lol cant keep up sometimes.Down sizing isn't an easy task but as we get older its a good thing. We don't need all the stuff we once did or thought we did.The pictures were beautiful John and glad the tree didn't fall on your cabin.Weve had snow and ice here in my neck of the woods its pretty but glad to see it go.I got stuck in our last ice storm couple weeks ago and it took me 11 hours to get home which should have been a 45min trip.Thank goodness I was rescued by a 4 wheel drive truck.Never so glad to get home.Well take care of yourself John...Your friend Bert form Bama
