I love breakup

Well, I believe breakup is here and starting although, I hear we may get some snow sometime this weekend, bummer. It won't last with these warm temps. It has been hitting the 50 degree mark everyday but, the nights have been cold 10 to 12 degrees, last night it stayed 30. I have started cleanup and decided not to bore all of you with the usual around the cabin photos, I am tired of them myself. I have decided in the next few days, to pack some food and take a trip a little farther North and take some photos that hopefully you will enjoy more. I do need to get away to cure my Cabin Fever. Soon, I will be going out to my remote property and working on the new cabin, that should interest everyone. Anyway, I will close so I can go outside and enjoy the warm sunny day. Happy Breakup everyone.

I bet you wouldn't feel that way about snow if you had a bush woman to keep you warm. Hee, hee, hee.

Hi cotton, thanks but, it looks like breakup is going to be late. We have snow storms coming possibly.

Hey John, glad you're doin good! I know how you feel, in the late fall I'm ready for winter to just take over. Then by April I'm ready for winter to just go away...I bet you feel it even more in AK. Stay safe!

Hello, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy reading your posts. I have a cabin in Willow that is not winterized and so I am down south wishing I was in AK. Until I am back up there I can live vicariously through blogs like yours. Thx!

Thanks e. spears, glad to help you out. Stick around, it will get better once Winter loses its grip. Let's compare cabins.

Went to look at some pigs yesterday...put claim on 2 of them. Brought home 6 chicks yesterday...little one wants to go see if we can get a couple more. All my layers were killed last yr but two. Needing to get the bunnie pens up so I can move the two out side and the other two out of the holding kennel. The geese are great, getting meaner by the day.

We got slammed with about three good sized, over one foot, snows. Wishing it would all go away so I could get on with the fencing, green house, and....projects. Here is hoping you have a safe spring...

Hi Wash, sounds like you got yourself a bit of work ahead of you. I know how you feel about the weather. It isn't much better here. I'm fed up here. I'm painting the cabin and roof it then, lock it up and head to the lake property.

Sounds like fun. I keep thinking what it would be like if I went ahead and bought a semi remote place put up a small cabin ( a bit bigger than yours, lol), for my son and I, then set it up with critters, garden, etc. there is a place that I have had my eye on for a while now that would give me the space I want but still be close enough to civilization if I really needed it. Hoping to go see it when the snow clears a bit more.
