Yes, I'm still around

Well, I have heeled very well from my burns and am now getting busy again. I have been doing quite a bit of work around the town cabin before I leave for Lake Clark, if it happens, got my fingers crossed. Here are some pictures of some work I have done and some pictures just in general.

My tomato plants are coming along, one has tomatos already. Thanks for the plants OLD JOHN

Working on my polebarn/woodshed

This is how far I have got to this day

Cleaned up all the firewood in my driveway.

Before

After

This little guy sat and watched me build the polebarn

Then he left to go eat

This little fella decided to take a rest on my window, perhaps he was checking me out.

I like taking pictures of clouds, these are not spectacular but, they are nice.

Woke up Sunday morning to a nice cool morning

Had to start a fire that morning. I am also working on the inside of my cabin during the rainy days. I am building a loft shelf to store things. It will span the width of the cabin 12'. I am also building shelfs under the counter. Next week, I hope to paint the exterior of the cabin. If I have the time, I will add a porch also. So soon there will be more pictures. Anyway, just wanted everyone to know things are good on my end.

Hey John
your tomatoes are looking better than the ones I got in my Greenhouse. Glad to hear your burns are healing alright. I need to watch you build that pole shed - been thinking of something like that to park my toys under. Wife and I just got back from our cabin. Went out to feed the mosquitoes. Had a bear trying to push in the door again. trail camera didn't work.. But got a couple pictures of a nice Spike browsing past the cabin.

Really good to hear from you again.
I could use one of those pole barn woodsheds myself. If you are ever in the neighbourhood....(Remember, I live 1/3 the way around the world) ;-)

Hi John, come on out for a visit, if you need some trees, I can hook ya up. I bet those little pests were bad out there. Good on the spike. Darn bear.

Hi John ..Good to hear from you, and that those burns are healing well..now if you can just stay out of trouble ; }!!
I do see you have some good looking tomatoes going there..better then mine : }!!
I guess I shouldn't complain about that darn one mosquito that was bugging me last night, I made a bunch of swats at the darn thing, and hurt myself worse then him!!
Those cloud photos are wonderful..I do like watching them too..they chance there shape so rapidly, you have to be quick if you see one you really like, or it's gone!!
Glad to see you have somethings watching over you... squirrels,and insects don't talk back! ; }
Be careful with all your projects, and keep us informed!!

My goodness, John, you are one busy guy! Nice looking pole barn so far and good goin' on your firewood.
I love taking pictures of clouds, too. Yours are really pretty. Cute little squirrel keeping you company.
Will look forward to the pictures of all you are accomplishing. Take care...be careful. :)
Glad you have healed up well from the burns.
It's hot and very dry here, so no mosquitoes so far...yeah!

Hi grammie, What's odd is, I got both plants at the same time and only one has tomatoes on it so far. If you want to get rid of the mosquitoes, go to a hardware store and buy "BUCHACH", it is a powder made from a flower that you burn like incense and will kill anything flying or crawling and is safe, it won't harm you.

Hi Cotton, thanks. I do try to keep busy now because, I hate just sitting around watching movies all the time. Idle hands make for depression.

The woodshed my father built when we were kids was something like that. The side had poles like that but I can't remember what the roof had on it. I believe there was tin roofing over it though. It was a bit bigger than that though and we filled it but it never quite lasted the whole winter in NH. We used to stack the side walls and just throw wood in the middle after the sides were done.
I love how you get pictures of the wildlife. Most of ours does not come close enough for my camera to be able to get pictures of them.

Hi Becky, I'm not sure what I will put on mine. I am thinking about tar paperon the roof and then, add moss to give it an outdoor natural look. I built this mainly for firewood. The animals around here get used to me.

Hi John, thanks for the update. You do keep busy! I'm still fighting my virus and today is Saturday and all I want to do is rest. Good thing it's Saturday, eh? Thanks for stopping by my blog. I appreciate it.

PS. Our tomatoes in our hoop houses have lots of blossoms and no fruit :(. Watch out for those cold temps with your tomatoes. Do you bring them in at night?

Hi Carol, I am trying as much as I can to visit the everyones site. Having to travel to the library makes it hard. The nights here are usually 60 degrees or more and don't bring them in.
