Will it ever end?

Seems like winter isn't going to ease up for awhile. We got hit again. This was last weekend.

The plow came through and threw the snow back in 10ft.

Had a visiter outside my door.

Then he decided to take a rest in front of my Trooper and was nibbling on my woodchips.

A buddy of mine stopped by and decided to take a picture of me reading something.

Then got a picture of me being rude and dozing off while visiting with him.

Tried my hand at taking night pictures from my deck.

This is a picture of a cache my friend built for the first time. He did a nice job.

Went to visit an old friend that still runs dogs and these are a few of them.

This is Solo, he's retired and has run of the yard.

This is Lewis a rescue.

Then my friend returned again.

We have got to be the luckiest people alive to be able to live here and experience the wildlife and weather. I kind of had a lot of things to say today but, for some reason I just can't get with the program. I will have to think about it and try the next time. So, I hope everyone stays warm and in good health and enjoy what we have. Thanks.

been keeping busy down here splitting firewood and keeping the wood stove going.. The danged neighborhood moose always wait til 02:30 AM to mosey through our yard.. that sets the Alsation off and then we have a hard time getting back to sleep it seems.. Stay Warm

Hi John, no, it's not running. I did discover the alternater is bad so, I will have to replace it. Problem is, it's located on the bottom and it's to cold to remove it. I am jamming would all the time. It's time to warm up.

The moose looks too young to be by itself.
The snow looks COLD, lol. You are getting all the winter there because we sure aren't getting much here (that's ok with me!).

Good morning Becky, he is young but, I'm sure he can take care of himself. I would be glad to send you some of this snow and all of this cold. -38 as I type.

Awesome pics John, thanks for uploading and taking them.

It looks nice and toasty in your cabin despite the outside weather.

Take care,
R.

Thanks R, I am getting better with the camera. Once I get my Trooper running, I will get out for better pics. Kind of nice to have wildlife in the yard.

Really have enjoyed your pictures, John! You did a great job with the night pictures. Soooo much snow, and the cold..brrrr. The day you wrote, my temp was 73*!! Too warm here in NW Texas, but I'll take it.

I'm envious of your wildlife. The only thing I see are an occasional bunny and too many coyotes.

Hope the snow slows down for you soon. And, that you get your Trooper running soon.
Blessings!

Yeah the moose in the yard was great.

It just sat down and made itself comfortable. Really cool. :)

Later,
R.

That is Ok... LOL Didnt say much any way other than to comment that the little moose is about a 2yr old and time for mama to be running it off. It is about time for them to start droping their little ones for this yr isnt it? Wonder how the babies of this yr will fair in the deep stuff we have now...

I also offered to trade you your -38 for our wind... 50 to 70 mph winds. I hate the wind and the wind chill that follows with it. It has been blowing here for almost 2 full weeks straight. I have some 2.5 foot deep drifts in my drive right now. Going to be plowing them out tonight.

Was on You tube this wknd learning how to make an Igloo... while I have the amount of hard pack I have from the drifts I ought to try to make an igloo if I could... Hmmm projects. LOL

Hi Wash, I have enough snow for an Igloo Hotel, lol. I sure wish this cold would get over soon. I have a lot of work to do outside, not to mention all the wood I am burning.

Hey R, those big guys and gals pretty much do what they want. I enjoy them, in the yard and my freezer.
