What a dreary day

It rained last night and has been raining off and on all day and still is. The weather is calling for showers for the next 5 days. So, I am going to have to find something to do. This is what it looked like all day here.

My tree is leaning more and more each day Tomorrow I will remove it.

                               No grilling today
This afternoon I had to go to the village and get mail and my 8lbs. of wild bird feed came in. I bought some called Arctic Redpoll feed which is good for Balck Cap Chicadees also. Hope they appreciate it. While there, I stopped in the clinic to visit my friend Ron and got a bunch of free kisses. MMMMmmmmm!
When I got back I was thinking what could I do as long as it was raining. I decided to make something. APPLE PIE, oh yeah.

Well now, how about something else? My personal favorite Macaroni Salad with, eggs, celery, carrots, parsely, onions and horseradish.
Now, this cabin isn't real tight and with the rain, there is wind also which can be chilly a bit in this weather so, I decided to burn some wood. I've haven't been heating because it has been warm.
Over all, it has been a good day and I think I may call it a night and lay down and listen to radio. Goodnight.

Sounds like you did good on your rainy day. It rained here as well, just drizzled all day but I didn't get any apple pie baked, lol.

Hi Becky, that pie sure smelled good when it came out of the oven. Could hardly keep my hands off of it.

Dreary days aren't so bad when they include apple pie and kisses! :D

Hey Susan, I sure can't argue that, LOL

My favorite part of your day was the apple pie and a warm fire in the wood stove! If it is anything there like it was here last summer - 39 days of rain in a row - you'll just pretend it isn't raining after a while like we did... I'm glad we did our trip last weekend when it was so pretty out.

I put some music on, cut me a big hunk of pie, had a cup of french vanilla coffee and just sat in front of the fire. Actually we had about that much rain last summer also in a row.

Coffee, dessert and a warm fire. Now you're talking! I'll have to get my dh to brew me some decaf up. I can't drink the hard stuff.

Hey Carol, I tried decaf but, just can't go there. Mornings are the big coffee time for me.

Hi Rumbarr, what kind of coffee is that?

http://www.don-francisco.com/

I never used the website since they sell it down the street from me . I like the vanilla blend, smooth and creamy .
