Really nice day

Woke up to a really nice day. Decided to have coffee on the deck as the sun rises.

Being Friday, it's mail day and decided to walk to the village for mail. On the way, I ran into my friend from the village pulling his fish net for the season. He got some nice fish.

The big fish is a Lake Trout and weighs about 20lbs. or better.
I was offered this Lake Trout unfortunately, I didn't have a bag to put it in and because I was walking to the Post Office, no place to put it.

It was a really nice walk back. There is something about walking down a lake surrounded by mountains and the sun shining bright. It's sort of a feeling of freedom. A whole lot different than walking down a sidewalk, don't have to dodge people or cars when crossing a street.

My favorite month is December because, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I enjoy decorating the cabin, going out looking for a tree and friends stop by for eats and drinks. Some come and spend a few days. To me, it's a very special time of the year.

Nice pics and a nice window into your day. I like that about December too.

Curious what type/model camera you use? The pictures really look good! How remote are you? closest neighbors? etc..

Well, I use a Canon 3.2 believe it or not. I plan on getting a much better camera this summer. I am about 200 miles from the road system. There is a village about 2 miles from me.
