Mother Nature

Sure can be a jokster at times. The weather had been nice and everything was melting, heck, we even got high winds and pouring rain making us think breakup is coming and it is, eventually. This morning when I woke up, I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. This was sunrise.

Well, that was sunrise, then I took some pictures to show you how much snow we got over night.

Now, it did warm up all afternoon and the sun came out for awhile. So, I decided to do some laundry in my 5 gal. bucket washing machine and try out my new addition.

I bought this off of Ebay and got it real cheap. Works great.

As the day grew on the snow started melting again as you can see below.

I firmly believe this is Mother Natures way of letting us know, she is in charge. I do have a modern portable washing machine but, this is a more easier way to do laundry for a single guy anyway and it's a fun way to do it. I am a firm believer, the less I have to depend on modern technology the better.

We had a beautiful day today. It snowed yesterday, but it is all gone now. This morning there was some kind of sleet on the ground, but it didn't amount to much. That wringer thing seems a lot of work.... does it act as your spinner? I mean does it help get the excess water out?

The wringer works great. You can adjust the rollers as tight as you want. It got all the water out good.

Morning John =)

I was always curious to know if there was anything you learned back in Vietnam that you apply today living in the bush ?

Trust my instincts, so it works for me.

I love the beauty, the isolation and the wonder of Alaska but I am sure I would not like that snow in April!

Hi Becky, I don't really mind the snow in April because, I know that it will be gone shortly, LOL.
